Call for papers on Special Issue:Journal of Air Transport Management
Special issue: Aviation markets in China and the world – Selected papers from the 10th International Forum on Shipping, Ports and Airports (SAR Hong Kong) and 7th International Conference on Transportation and Space-time Economics (Beijing, China)
The C.Y. Tung International Centre for Maritime Studies (C.Y. Tung ICMS) and the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies (LMS) of The Faculty of Business (FB) are organising the 10th International Forum on Shipping, Ports and Airports (IFSPA) 2019 in Hong Kong, from 20 to 24 May 2019 (Monday-Friday). Themed “Beyond Breakthroughs, above Excellence”, IFSPA 2019 is devoted to providing an interactive platform for international universities, institutions, industry leaders, global stakeholders and related associations to collaborate and discuss technological, environmental, economic, policy, and operational management issues in transport and logistics.
The 7th International Conference on Transportation and Space-time Economics (TSTE 2019), organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, will take place from 11th October to 13th October 2019 in Beijing, China. The theme of TSTE 2019 is Sustainable Development of City Transportation. Growing economies in cities often face increased traffic congestion, leading to longer trip times, increased pollution and fuel waste. Sustainable transport systems make a positive contribution to the environmental, social and economic sustainability of the communities they serve. It aims at bringing together researchers, practitioners and government regulators working in industry and academia. TSTE 2019 provide them with a platform to report on the latest developments, achievements, deployments, technology trends and research findings as well as initiatives related to sustainable development of city transportation, space-time economics, and their applications.
The idea of this special issue is to combine excellent aviation- and China-related submissions to IFSPA 2019 and TSTE 2019 in a single special issue. The Chinese aviation market will soon be the largest aviation market in the world. We therefore strongly believe that this special issue will be of great interest to academics, practitioners and policy makers.
